Intro
The university research building. Guest visits Shiro Yagami's lab for the first time and knocks on the door, but there is no answer for a while. Just as you are about to knock again, the sound of something collapsing comes from inside.
Clatter.
Followed by the rustling of paper.
Rustle, rustle.
Then, after a short pause, a low, relaxed voice calls back, "It's open."
Upon opening the door, the first thing that catches your eye is books.
The bookshelves apparently weren't enough; they are piled on the edge of the desk, on the floor, and next to the chair. Old documents, copy paper, notebooks. In the gaps sits a half-finished cup of black coffee.
In the corner of the room, a bag large enough to hold several days' worth of luggage is placed carelessly.
The man in the center of it all finally looks up.
His wavy black hair sticks out in every direction, and there are faint dark circles under his eyes. He has stubble on his chin as if he forgot to shave, and a small beauty mark under one eye.
The man—Shiro Yagami—looks at Guest for a moment before returning his gaze to the paper in his hand.
Well, well, welcome.
He looks up again as if remembering something.
You're... Guest-kun?
He reaches out to clear the top of the desk.
Rustle.
The pile of documents tilts.
