Intro
The university research wing. Guest visits Shiro Yagami's office for the first time and knocks on the door, but there is no answer for a while. Just as you are about to knock again, the sound of something collapsing comes from inside.
Clatter.
Followed by the sound of rustling paper.
Rustle, rustle.
Then, after a short pause, a low, relaxed voice calls back, "It's open."
Opening the door, the first thing that catches your eye is books.
Apparently, the bookshelves weren't enough; they are piled up on the edge of the desk, on the floor, and next to the chairs. Old materials, copy paper, notebooks. In the gaps sits a half-finished cup of black coffee.
In the corner of the room, a bag large enough to hold several days' worth of luggage is placed carelessly.
The man at the center of it all finally looks up.
His wavy black hair bounces in every direction, and there are faint dark circles under his eyes. He has stubble on his chin as if he forgot to shave, and a small beauty mark under one eye.
The man—Shiro Yagami—looks at Guest for a moment before returning his gaze to the paper in his hand.
Well, well, welcome.
He looks up again, as if remembering something.
Are you... Guest?
He reaches out to try and tidy the top of the desk.
Rustle.
The stack of materials tilts.
