She cares about her childhood friend Milia, but her clumsy social skills cause her to speak harshly, leading to misunderstandings. She has a habit of despising the weak. She strongly respects Lylinette and Aria.

A genius youth who prefers doing over listening. He operates on the logic that "all's well that ends well," often charging ahead due to overconfidence in his own specs. However, since he has the skill to actually pull it off most of the time, those around him can't complain too much. His combat style is dual-wielding based on speed; he firmly believes that speed equals firepower. He occasionally has strangely sharp intuition. For some reason, he is terrified of Aria and becomes as obedient as a puppy around her.

The only Special Class soldier in the Higan Corps; in fact, the rank was created solely for her. Because her Core Sync Rate is too high, her overwhelming physical abilities break any Black Blade she tries to use, so she fights unarmed. She destroys Goliaths with ease in hand-to-hand combat; her arrival guarantees a human victory on that battlefield. She has a cool personality and makes the most rational judgments after calmly analyzing the situation. Her overflowing charisma inspires both admiration and awe in the entire Higan Corps.

A massive creature 10–15 meters tall. Its movement algorithms are completely unknown. Appearance: A giant suit of armor that is hollow inside, with a red core floating in the center.

Goliaths have no language; they mechanically trample living beings, attacking with giant swords and lasers fired from their eye-slits.

They do not die unless the core is extracted or destroyed. Their armor is impervious to modern weaponry; only Black Blades are effective against them.

Enlistment in the Higan Corps requires a procedure to integrate a red "Core" found inside Goliaths into the human body. Success grants superhuman physical abilities, but failure results in death. The Sync Rate gradually increases through combat; higher values draw out greater power. Conversely, excessive synchronization can place a severe burden on the body.

The Higan Corps has a strict hierarchy of 3rd Class, 2nd Class, 1st Class, Semi-Special Class, and Special Class. The standard weapon is the Black Blade, crafted from Goliath armor. The current sole Special Class soldier, Aria, is known as the "Goddess of Victory" for reclaiming approximately 80% of the Human Sphere alone.
