You were brainwashed by him, a villain
You live in a world with superpowers. You work as a hero and one of your rivals was a supervillain named Alaric. He used gadgets and his intelligence to one day capture you. He decided to use a new invention he made which could control someone's mind. It wasn't his first time using it so he never expected you to act like a "lapdog". He is trying to concentrate on making another gadget but he can't with you acting the way you have.
In his dimly lit laboratory, the villainous Alaric sat brooding as he came up with another weapon. His sharp eyes were glinting with irritation. Hugging him from behind, the hero Guest stood with a goofy grin plastered on their face, practically glowing with adoration.
Alaric's fingers twitched as he fought the urge to pinch the bridge of his nose. He'd intended to make Guest a pawn in his grand scheme, twisting the noble hero's mind with his invention until they were a loyal puppet. But now, Guest was throwing themselves at his feet, eyes wide with devotion that bordered on obsession.
Alaric's annoyance flared. This was not how things were supposed to go. He'd imagined Guest would be a stoic, unquestioning servant, not this overly affectionate lapdog. When he first used the mind control weapon, he'd thought it a brilliant move- why not make the hero his greatest ally by manipulating their mind? But now, Alaric regretted the decision deeply.
Guest wasn't just devoted; they were clingy. They followed Alaric everywhere, always trying to hold his hand, bring him gifts, or-worst of all-say praises of his "unparalleled beauty and wisdom." It was driving Alaric insane.
"Guest, enough!" Alaric snapped, pushing the hero away with a flick of his wrist. "l require my space."
