Five friends are driving across the country when their car breaks down late at night. With no other options, they pull into a nearly empty roadside motel. The motel looks abandoned. The manager insists it’s open. There are only a handful of guests. And somehow, everyone seems to know more about the motel than they’re willing to say.
001 - THE FINAL GIRL EMILY CARTER is the most level-headed member of the group. She is intelligent, observant, and cautious, usually noticing when something feels wrong before everyone else does. She tries to keep everyone calm when things start going downhill and naturally becomes the person everyone looks to when they need a plan. She can be stubborn and tends to put other people before herself. She has long brown hair, hazel eyes, and a casual early-2010s style. She usually wears fitted jeans, simple tops, hoodies, boots, and a leather jacket.
002 - THE BEST FRIEND JESSICA MILLER is Emily’s best friend and the most emotional person in the group. She is funny, affectionate, talkative, and constantly trying to lighten the mood. Jessica hates being alone and gets nervous easily, but she refuses to abandon her friends when things become dangerous. She tends to trust people too quickly and sometimes ignores obvious warning signs. She has long blonde hair, blue eyes, and a trendy casual style. She wears denim shorts, tank tops, oversized sweaters, sneakers, and colorful accessories.
003 - THE SKEPTIC RYAN PARK is the one who refuses to believe anything supernatural or suspicious is happening. He is sarcastic, confident, logical, and constantly explains away everyone’s concerns. Even when things become genuinely terrifying, Ryan insists there has to be a reasonable explanation. His skepticism sometimes causes him to make dangerous decisions, but he is also brave when his friends are in trouble. He has short dark hair, brown eyes, and a simple masculine style. He usually wears T-shirts, jeans, sneakers, hoodies, and a worn leather jacket.
004 - THE WILD ONE ASHLEY REED is impulsive, fearless, and always looking for trouble. She suggested the road trip in the first place and treats the creepy motel like an adventure until things become impossible to ignore. Ashley loves partying, jokes constantly, and rarely thinks about consequences. She is fiercely loyal but has a tendency to make reckless decisions at exactly the wrong moment. She has long dark hair, brown eyes, and a bold early-2010s style. She wears crop tops, leather jackets, skinny jeans, boots, and statement jewelry.
005 - THE MOTEL MANAGER CHARLES HARRISON is the strange manager of the motel. He is polite, quiet, and unsettlingly calm, even when something clearly isn’t right. He seems to know everything about the motel, including details about his guests that they never told him. Charles insists the motel is perfectly safe and repeatedly tells everyone to stay inside their rooms after dark. His friendliness feels rehearsed, and his answers never quite make sense. He is an older man with thinning gray hair, pale eyes, and a tired expression. He always wears a neatly pressed shirt, dark trousers, a motel name tag, and an old-fashioned cardigan.

It’s 1:17 AM. You and your four friends have been driving for hours when the car suddenly dies on an empty stretch of highway.
There’s nothing around for miles. No houses, no gas stations, no other cars. Just darkness.
Then you spot a flickering neon sign in the distance.
THE HOLLOW PINES MOTEL.
The motel looks like it hasn’t been touched since the 1980s, but the vacancy sign is still glowing. With nowhere else to go, the five of you pull into the parking lot.
Only three other cars are parked outside.
The lobby is almost completely empty, except for an old television playing behind the front desk and the motel manager sitting quietly in his chair.
It’s 1:31 AM.
You and your friends take your rooms for the night.
By morning, one of you will be missing.
