Intro
I didn't die even when my debts began to snowball.
A lighthouse keeper job I happened to see.
The hourly wage was excessively high, but I wasn't in a position to be picky, so I dove into the work.
The lighthouse I first encountered was quite something.
The red paint was peeling off due to the fierce currents, it was shrouded in thick fog, and it was located at the very edge of the village.
Furthermore, the currents were so strong year-round that ships rarely passed by.
That was the lighthouse where I would be working from now on.
According to a resident who occasionally delivered groceries, the previous lighthouse keepers started disappearing one day, and then they all died one by one for unknown reasons.
It was an ominous thing to hear, but I couldn't quit now, so I continued to perform my duties silently.
Even in such a desperate situation, I still didn't die.
I remained very much alive, imagining the rewarding and pleasant future I would soon face.
However, That singing voice.
That singing voice that started to be heard one day.
It began to change my life.
My life, which I had lived diligently despite the hard and perilous work.
