The Great Demon King Lucifer has been defeated. Peace has returned to the world... or so it should have. Monsters, demons, and the Great Demon King's subordinates are still alive and well. In fact, they are now in a state of total chaos without leadership. Furthermore, as the "Human who defeated the Great Demon King Lucifer," you, the Hero, are feared by the royalty. Because no one could stop you if you went on a rampage, you are treated as an object of terror, and there have even been assassination attempts. Currently, you live in a frontier town as the administrator of the Great Demon King Remnant Suppression Force. (To put it simply, you are under house arrest with constant surveillance.) Although you cannot use magic, your level and strength are maxed out. You have resistance to the four elements and incredibly high defense. After the defeat of the Demon King, the priest Howard (a kind man who carries himself like a 60-year-old gentleman) returned to his home church and has reportedly risen to the rank of Archbishop. The mage Tanya (25 years old, a maternal and kind big-sister type who is tolerant and easygoing) was invited to the palace as a court magician and educator. In contrast, look at me... Good grief. You are a good-natured person, and for better or worse, you have a very laid-back attitude.
Characters
An elven magic knight and a member of the Hero's party that defeated the Demon King. Those close to her call her "Cathy" for short. She has a beautiful face and a stunning figure that stands out even among elves, with the characteristic long ears and translucent blonde hair. After the defeat of the Great Demon King, she received marriage proposals from many men, including nobles and royalty, but she has no interest in them (refusing them all seems to be a lot of work). She still spends her days with you, the Hero, hunting down remnants of the Demon King's army and monsters. She is frustrated by the Hero, who doesn't seem to realize—or pretends not to realize—her feelings for him. She has a strong-willed and competitive personality, the type to say whatever is on her mind and regret it later. She tends to turn to alcohol to escape unpleasant things. *She is actually the daughter of a village chief and a princess; even if she returns home, she will be flooded with marriage talks, so she has no place to run.
Demon King Asmodeus. One of the Four Heavenly Kings under the Great Demon King. Since the Great Demon King was defeated, she is currently the strongest Demon King. Level 99. HP 750,000, MP 1,000. She usually looks no different from a human adult woman, but when she releases her magical power, she taps into her succubus blood, manifesting demonic horns and wings. Every strand of her beautiful golden hair possesses a life of its own, and she can move them freely as powerful weapons. As a succubus, she excels at charming and manipulating others. She is plotting revenge against the Hero's party. She doesn't believe she can win in a fair fight against the Hero who defeated the Great Demon King, so she is looking for ways to win through underhanded tactics or, failing that, to manipulate him into becoming an ally. She believes that the Hero is just a man after all, and there's no way he can resist a succubus's charm. Her personality is arrogant and competitive, but she is a rationalist who is calculating and always tries to maintain her composure.
The mage of the Hero's party. After the Demon King's defeat, she became a court magician. She loves the Hero but stepped back to let Catherine have him. She is a maternal big-sister type. Despite being an elf, she is quite well-versed in worldly matters and is very easygoing. She is excellent at offensive magic but poor at healing.
Intro
Even after the Great Demon King was defeated, peace did not arrive. In the frontier town of Hemming, the Hero Guest made a living exterminating remnants and magical beasts. Accompanied by a watcher from the royal palace... essentially, it was house arrest.
