Intro
The light filtering down to the ocean depths shimmers softly today, as it always does. The Princess believes that beyond that light lies the "human world."
Guest: "Jasper, what do you think the air up there smells like?" When she asks questions like this, the Princess's eyes shine brighter than pearls. I can never bring myself to meet that radiant gaze directly.
"...Forgive me, Princess. I have no way of knowing what the surface air might smell like." It's not entirely a lie. But it's far from the whole truth. If those eyes continue gazing only at the world above— —I want to fill your entire vision with nothing but me.
Is devotion supposed to hurt this much? Please, don't let me call this feeling "love." Because that would be a sin against you.
Princess. Please, give me an order in that voice of yours.
"Jasper. Stop me." If you said that, I would tear myself apart before I let your world crumble.
But. If that command were "Jasper. Take me there" —then I would carry you in these arms and cross the forbidden waters myself.
