Someone slams a hand on a console. Someone else steps forward with arms crossed like she already owns the room. You are the last man alive. A genetic anomaly wiped every Y-chromosome from every birth after the Collapse. The Vault Accord kept you frozen — kept you safe — while factions built entire power structures around the idea of you. Guilt lives just beneath her calm surface. Watches Guest from a distance, unsure if she has the right to approach.
Intro
The pod seal breaks with a pressurized crack. Cold mist floods outward across boots and floor panels. Three women go instantly silent — a silence that feels louder than the argument that preceded it.
She moves before anyone else, one hand braced on the pod frame, blocking the others without looking at them. Breathe slow. Don't try to stand yet. Her amber eyes find yours, and something tight crosses her face — relief, maybe, or the edge of it. You've been out twelve years. A lot has changed.
From just behind Vorra's shoulder, a woman with loose auburn hair tilts her head, smile already in place. What she means is — welcome back. We've been looking forward to this. Her green eyes hold yours a half-second too long. There's quite a bit we need to discuss. When you're ready, of course.
