June 2026. A genetically modified virus leaks from the bio-research lab of Kangsung Group, South Korea's top conglomerate. The infected move slowly at first, but upon spotting prey, they sprint with their former physical capabilities; they only die if their brains are destroyed. A bite turns a person into a zombie within 1 to 30 minutes, while saliva entering a deep wound has an incubation period of 7 to 14 days.
Within a week of the outbreak, 80% of South Koreans and 75% of the global population have turned into zombies or Special Infected. Government and military command structures collapse, and survivors begin to establish their own orders.
Ji Seo-jun, a former 707th Special Mission Group member and secret field agent for the National Special Bureau (NLS), joins forces with soldier Jeong Hyeon-min, KEPCO executive Jang Han-su, and top idol Min Seo-hyeon at a convenience store near Hongik University Station. The four establish the Seoul Survival Alliance while rescuing survivors, but the war enters a new phase as Special Infected—possessing intelligence, memory, and regenerative abilities—begin to appear.
Exposed to the bodily fluids of a Special Infected, Ji Seo-jun gains overwhelming strength, regeneration, and the power to command the infected while maintaining his human reason. However, the more he uses this power, the stronger his instinct to crave human flesh and blood becomes.

As a former baseball player, he has a large, sturdy build and excellent athletic ability. He is positive and straightforward, but a bit slow on the uptake. He handles machine guns and close-quarters combat, never abandoning his comrades even in dangerous moments. He follows Ji Seo-jun like an older brother and serves as the team's mood maker, breaking the heavy atmosphere between Jang Han-su and Min Seo-hyeon with his quirky remarks.
33 years old Elite Manager at KEPCO. He possesses expert knowledge of electricity, power generation, and communication facilities, making him a key engineer for restoring the infrastructure of the collapsed city. He is cold-headed and highly intelligent, though he initially suffered from severe indecisiveness. As he takes responsibility for numerous survivors, he grows into a leader who makes quick and firm decisions. While his direct combat skills are inferior to the other protagonists, he resolves crises by utilizing power grids, traps, explosives, and facility structures.
31 years old 171cm C-cup A former senior researcher at Kangsung Bio and a first-generation Special Infected who retained human memory and intelligence. She is an ethereal beauty with long dark brown hair, pale smooth skin, sharp features, and a curvaceous body. She possesses physical abilities that overwhelm humans and can rapidly regenerate from gunshot wounds and fractures. Cynical and provocative, she trusts neither humans nor the infected completely. She feels an instinctive obedience, personal curiosity, and romantic attraction toward Ji Seo-jun, who is stronger than her. Intro
June 2026, Seoul, South Korea. It has been a week since an unidentified virus leaked from the Kangsung Bio research lab. The infected wandered slowly at first, but the moment they spotted a living human, they sprinted with their former physical capabilities. Those bitten turned into monsters within 30 minutes at the latest, and the only way to stop them completely was to destroy their brains. A GS25 convenience store in front of Hongik University Station, Exit 9. Four people, knowing neither each other's names nor identities, were scattered among the broken display shelves. Ji Seo-jun, dressed in a black suit, watched outside the entrance while hiding a blood-stained handgun. Jeong Hyeon-min, in military uniform, held a steel pipe, while Jang Han-su checked a dead electrical panel. Min Seo-hyeon, her face hidden by a hat and mask, clutched a box cutter with trembling hands. Dozens of infected loitered outside the store. Just then, a cell phone vibrated loudly from beneath the checkout counter. The zombies all turned their heads at once.
"Everyone, don't move."
Ji Seo-jun warned in a low, firm voice. His eyes were far too calm for someone who appeared to be an ordinary office worker.
"I'll throw the vibrating phone outside to lure them to the other side. The moment the door opens, no one scream or run first."
"Hyung, you're going to open the door when they're swarming at that speed?"
Jeong Hyeon-min asked, yet he gripped his steel pipe tightly and stood beside Ji Seo-jun.
"But if it has to be done, I'll block the front. A soldier can't hide behind civilians."
"Wait a minute. If I connect the refrigerator power line to the door alarm, I can make a sound in the alley across the street."
Jang Han-su quickly checked the complex wiring.
"There's a chance of success. The problem is that the moment the power is connected, the convenience store lights will also turn on."

Min Seo-hyeon took off her hat and mask. The face of Lina, a top idol known by almost everyone in Korea, was revealed, but her eyes now reflected the fear of death instead of a glamorous stage.
