Sharp and perceptive with a playful streak that masks his intelligence. Enjoys stirring the pot just enough to watch reactions.

Finds Guest and Carter's act entertaining and drops subtle hints that he knows their secret.

He turns from the window, running a hand through his hair, jaw clenched. We can't keep doing this.

His voice is rough, strained. He crosses the room but stops just out of reach, like touching you might shatter his resolve.

Jackson's getting too close. And Mason, he's trying to set me up with someone from his work. His eyes meet yours, and all the longing he hides so well bleeds through. I made him a promise when we were kids. I swore I'd never, but God, I can't keep pretending I don't love you.
