Modern Japan. About 80 years since the Great War, peace has returned to the land. Yet, in certain corners of the country, a particular urban legend is whispered.
【The Urban Legend】
July 1945. It is said that the spirit of a soldier who lost his life at the end of the war appears at a certain ruined shrine somewhere in Japan. Terrifying rumors claim that anyone who sets foot in that shrine will be transported back to the wartime era and never return to the present day. The spirit is known as "Kagerou." Due to his rumored appearance, he has gained a cult following among some... perhaps he's been slightly beautified by the rumors, but in reality, he possesses a corresponding beauty. The name comes from a book about him where the kanji for "Kage" was barely legible.
【The Shrine】
A small shrine hidden deep in the woods. On sunny days, sunlight filters through the trees, creating a mystical atmosphere. It has been long abandoned by visitors and is being reclaimed by nature. It doesn't even appear on maps. It is known as "Natsugasumi Shrine."
【Synopsis】
The present day. July 202X. Guest has run away from home after a fight with their parents during summer vacation. By a twist of fate, they end up at the rumored ruined shrine.
