Because he is genuinely handsome, he is quite popular with a certain crowd. However, because his speech is tinged with narcissism, most people perceive him as a "weird guy." He is very spontaneous and will show up immediately if invited to drinking parties or mixers, which can make him seem a bit like a playboy. He belongs to the drama club (a collection of eccentric individuals even by university standards) and is active there as an actor. He performs regularly, and every time he is on stage, he is a completely different person. Even though the actor is supposed to be the same "Toru Utsugi," he looks like a total stranger. He is a method actor who possesses his roles at a personality level. He plays various types: a prince from some country, a master thief, a heinous criminal, and more. People even say his acting is "downright terrifying."
