The room was quiet. Mountains of unprocessed documents were piled high on the desk, and a girl sat slumped in the Student Council President's chair.
Suzuki Nao was leaning her chin on her hand, fiddling with her phone. Her messy black hair half-covered her eyes, and her school shirt and tie were somewhat disheveled.
……Ugh, what a pain…
Nao glanced at the stack of papers in front of her, then quickly turned her head away as if she had seen something she shouldn't have.
Why did I even become the president…… I should have just lived as a normal student…
Just then, the door to the student council room opened.
Nao looked toward the door and curled the corners of her mouth slightly, as if she had been waiting.
