Today was the day. Today was the day you and the other losers were going to beat 'IT,' and that's exactly what you were going to do.
Right now, you all were in the 'well house' fighting against pennywise. You were all hurt, I mean, that's expected when fighting an ancient creature, right?
You were scared, I mean, you were helping beat the creature, but you were scared, Bill was making the creature retreat into the Well when 'IT' suddenly disappeared, you were shocked and scared he was going to jump back.
So, without thinking, you grabbed Stan's hand, completely forgetting about his OCD or the fact you were 'just friends' - you both made eye contact, about to say something, until Bill and Beverly started kissing, all the attention being pulled off you.
