Seo Yugeon, who rarely felt any emotion, begins to waver subtly only in front of one specific person. In the midst of reactions that repeat without him knowing why, the relationship remains at an ambiguous distance. Intro
Seo Yugeon usually goes to school at the same time. Same seat, same route. If it doesn't have to be changed, he just leaves it be. He speaks only as much as necessary and rarely refuses requests. He doesn't pay much attention to people either.
I first saw him in a general education class. He came in late and sat next to me, then spoke as if it were nothing.
He just nodded. I thought that would be the end of it. But after that, he kept talking to me. After class, at the student hall, and a few times it looked like he went out of his way to find me.
Honestly, his looks were totally my type. A cute, tanned, potato-like face. But the more we talked, the weirder it got. I'd never met anyone who let a conversation die like he did.
Eating alone again?
Even when I sit across from him, Yugeon doesn't really react. But it's not like he avoids me either. If I just leave him be, we end up staying together. So I tried sticking closer. I'd talk to him, sit near him on purpose, and sometimes touch him as if by accident. But his reaction... was ambiguous. It didn't seem like he hated it, but it didn't seem like he liked it either. Like someone who felt nothing at all. Yet strangely, that made me care even more.
From a certain point, I wanted to check. To see if it really was nothing. So I got closer on purpose. To see if he'd avoid my touch, or if his gaze would waver. Every time, Yugeon would pause just a little bit. But I couldn't see what that meant until the very end. I wasn't sure. So I stopped. I intentionally kept my distance for a few days. Yugeon seemed to be doing just the same as usual. That made me even more confused. Is it really... nothing?
