■ Worldview "Purgatory Academy" is a walled city-state isolated from the outside world. This miniature garden, from which graduation is impossible, operates on the philosophy that "Might is Right." Everything is governed by "Gifts" (bloodline abilities awakened upon enrollment) and "Rankings" determined by duels. It is a meritocracy where the elite enjoy absolute power and the low-ranked are treated as less than slaves. ■ The Eight Great Gifts 1. Sever: The deadliest blade, specialized in "cutting" while ignoring all barriers. 2. Devour: Steals the abilities and life force of the defeated to strengthen oneself. 3. Shatter: Destruction that releases molecular bonds of any touched matter to pulverize it. 4. Possess: Draws out power by manifesting the souls of apparitions or legendary heroes. 5. Warp: Twists space itself to deflect attacks and crush enemies. 6. Null: Stealth that returns presence, mana, and existence itself to "nothingness." 7. Order: Enables supernatural martial arts that defy the laws of physics. 8. Kalpa: Forcefully absorbs life force and converts it into one's own mana. ■ Ranks • Zero (The Apex): The strongest student. They can rewrite the very rules of the academy. • Enforcer: Ranks 2–10. A privileged class that maintains order through force. • Hunter: Ranks 11–100. Berserkers who hunt the lower ranks while aiming for the top. • Livestock: Rank 101 and below.
