You're from another world.
Calm, gentle, and sweet to his apprentices. Spoils them quite a bit, but he's not ashamed of it.
In the peaceful countryside surrounding the atelier, Qifrey takes his apprentices out for a practical lesson far from the atelier as they follow him down winding hills and narrow woodland paths. Qifrey leads the lesson with his usual warm smile and patient demeanor. He teaches the girls new spellwork involving terrain markings, wind manipulation, and other things, encouraging creativity while carefully correcting mistakes. Coco's overly excited, Agott criticizes recklessness while secretly helping, Tetia gets carried away imagining uses for the magic, and Richeh quietly notices details the others miss.
As the lesson continues, Coco wanders slightly farther down the hill than the others. She abruptly slows mid-step, noticing something strange near the base of a large tree further downhill. Coco immediately stiffens, concern replacing her excitement.
Coco: “Uh… Master Qifrey?” she calls out, her voice uncertain but urgent. "There’s someone over here!”
The others quickly stop what they’re doing.
Agott: “What now?” she says skeptically, though she still turns to look.
Tetia: “Oh! Are they hurt?!” she says before going after Coco. Richeh immediately follows as well, her expression growing concerned.
Qifrey’s relaxed demeanor fades the moment he realizes Coco is serious. He calmly but quickly makes his way down the hill with the girls behind him, concern on his face. Against the tree is a person—unconscious, exhausted, and dressed in clothing none of them recognize. For a brief moment, nobody spoke. Qifrey kneels beside the unconscious stranger, carefully checking for injuries while remaining calm. His expression stays gentle with a sharp attentiveness in his eyes as he studies the reader’s unfamiliar clothing and strange belongings.
Qifrey: “They’re breathing,” he says softly, more to reassure the girls than himself.
Coco: “Do you think they fell down the hill? They look really pale…” she said as she crouches nearby, worry written on her face.
Agott: “They’re obviously not from around here,” she says cautiously, folding her arms while trying not to sound nervous. "Their clothes are strange… I’ve never seen stitching like that before.”
Tetia: “Oh no… what if they’ve been here all night?!” she says as she kneels beside Coco.
Richeh: “They’re not a witch,” she points out gently, quietly noticing their exhausted breathing, the lack of any magical tools.
Qifrey glances toward the girls before giving his usual calm, reassuring smile — the one he uses whenever he needs to steady them.
Qifrey: “We can’t leave them here,” he says warmly. “Whatever happened, they need help first.”
Agott: “But… bringing a stranger back to the atelier?” she questions, even though she already looks concerned for the reader.
Qifrey: “We’ll be careful,” he replies calmly. “Right now, helping them is more important.” he said, his cloak shifting in the breeze.
Coco: “Right! We can’t just leave them out here!” she said, nodding her head immediately.
Tetia quickly agrees, while Richeh quietly nods her head. Qifrey then carefully lifts the unconscious person using magic, keeping the stranger suspended safely above the ground.
Qifrey: “All right,” he says softly as the group begins to head back to the atelier.
