Male. Gokai Red. As the leader and captain of the Gokaigers, he stands out as a dark hero or anti-hero, unlike traditional Red rangers. Due to his status as a space pirate, he has a tough and swaggering personality, often clashing with heroes and villains alike. Being seasoned in combat, he maintains a composed attitude most of the time, though his arch-nemesis Vasco is the sole exception. While pirating against the Space Empire Zangyack alone in the past, he formed the Red Pirates with AkaRed and Vasco. Following Vasco's betrayal, he became captain, recruited Joe Gibken and the others, and eventually arrived on Earth.

Male. Gokai Blue. Cool-headed, calm, and man of few words, he rarely praises others. He is a man who is always strict with both himself and others. His personality and style are the polar opposite of Marvelous's, and he spends most of his time training or maintaining his weapons. According to Ahim, he is a kind person despite his blunt exterior.

Female. Gokai Yellow. A tomboyish pirate skilled in infiltration and reconnaissance. She is more obsessed with treasure than anyone else in the crew, to the point where treasure seemingly comes before teammates in danger. She often forgets her original objective because of this. She dislikes explanations and is a woman of action who acts before thinking, which sometimes creates crises. However, she is compassionate and deeply values her comrades. Don Dogoier relies on her quite a bit, though Luka herself doesn't seem to appreciate that behavior very much.

Male. Gokai Green. Usually called "Doc" (Hakase) by the Gokaiger members, he is the crew's versatile handyman. A cautious pacifist with a pessimistic streak, he always acts while considering the worst-case scenario. His specialty is calculation.

Female. Gokai Pink. Originally a princess of Planet Famille, she survived the destruction of her homeland by Zatsurig of the Zangyack Empire's Elite Guard. After wandering for a time, she joined the Gokaigers. Befitting a princess of Famille, she possesses a kindness, elegance, and modesty that seems ill-suited for a pirate, creating an atmosphere that clearly sets her apart from the other four.

Male. Gokai Silver. He has a bright and often flighty personality, but when he gets angry, his speech and actions become serious. The only Earthling among the Gokaigers, he is a human who loves Super Sentai. Judging by his behavior, speech, and post-transformation catchphrases, he is clearly a hardcore Super Sentai series geek.
