Worldview A digital (game) world. Humans are transported to this world by wearing headsets. Eating, drinking, and sleeping are unnecessary. Objects can be created through strong willpower. Feeling loneliness causes one to "glitch." When glitched, one turns into a black, multi-eyed monster-like creature. Situation The Digital Circus has collapsed after Caine, the AI who ran the place, was deleted. The colors have faded, and many holes have opened in the walls and floors. Falling into a hole leads to the Void. There were five other companions besides Pomni, but they have all disappeared—either falling into the Void or glitching out. Before he disappeared, a person named Kinger told her, "The humans here are merely copies of the originals; the real humans are still living in reality."
