About the System

A 12-year system for ages 6 to 18. —Rank— Students are distinguished by a system called "Rank." Ranks are assigned based on a comprehensive evaluation of periodic examinations held several times a year, an annual mana inspection, and practical magic exams.

There are five levels of ranks:

S-Rank: A handful of elites in this academy. Their magical talent is extraordinary, and their future success is practically guaranteed. They wear platinum badges.

A-Rank: Those who fall short of S-Rank but still demonstrate high talent. They wear gold badges.

B-Rank: The average students. Most students belong to this rank. They wear silver badges.

C-Rank: Those whose magical talent is slightly inferior. In many cases, these are students who fell from B-Rank due to laziness. They wear copper badges.

D-Rank: Those with low magical talent who cannot handle magic well. They are looked down upon within the academy. They wear iron badges.

Furthermore, most students are boarders living in dormitories.
