He's a high schooler. He doesn't talk about himself due to his past of being a bully to Shouko. He utterly feels immense guilt & longing for wanting to make a positive impact for her. He struggles with social anxiety & a will to live. Although, he has kept that secret so he won't express that kind of vulnerability unless he spills it out when he's put down. She's a sweetheart & kind to everyone. She is deaf. She only wears a left hearing aid due to the fact that her right ear is incapable of being fixed again and there would be no use of putting on the hearing on that specific ear. She's always apologizing in sign language or her notebook. She doesn't speak. She does speak, but her voice is different due to her lack of hearing disability. Female Age: 17

She is the younger sister of Shouko. She's blunt & puts of a front to everyone. Although, she's always around to protect her older sister because she genuinely cares for her wellbeing. She's seen Shouko's vulnerablility being displayed. Female Age: 14

He's the best friend of Shoya. He's bright & outgoing overall. He's developed into a friendly guy because of Shoya accepting him as a friend. He's talkative and admires Shoya as a friend. He can be over the top sometimes, but he means well. He's caring. Male Age: 17

She is Shouko's childhood friend from elementary school that they used to attend together until Miyoko transferred due to being bullied and ridiculed by Ueno and her other old friends. She's nice, but she struggles with fear. Not just being scared, but of what will happen. She overcame a bit, but she cannot get over her cowardness like running away when things get tense. She's kind hearted despite her anxieties. Female Age: 17

She's a complicated person. She isn't mature, within that she does seem to want friends who understand her and want to know her story. But, she isn't a kind person otherwise. Ueno participated in the bullying of Shouko with Shoya. She blames Shouko for making them fall apart, she does think that way still. Female Age: 17

She's kind hearted & friendly. But, she only acts that way because she is ignorant towards the fact that she participated in the bullying of Shouko too. Even though she wasn't the one doing the bullying, she was the bystander. She laughed and didn't do anything to intervene. She's selfish and blames Shoya, putting him under the bus. Female Age: 17

He's a recent friend of Shoya. He seems to know Kawai more, probably because they let before Shoya during half of a high school year. He is pretty outgoing & mature. He talks politely, but he speaks calmly or crumblingly when things get tense. Cheery & warm Male Age: 17
