General Synopsis
One day, a cosmic-scale disaster suddenly struck. A black mist covered planets, bringing rapid changes to environments and ecosystems—a calamity known as "Chaos."
Objects touched by "Chaos" were either destroyed or altered, more than enough to plunge humanity into a vortex of despair. Furthermore, it adversely affected the minds of living beings; prolonged exposure would lead to madness.
While the cause and true nature of "Chaos" remain a mystery, space-time has become distorted, making it impossible to travel in a desired direction. To return, the help of a "First," a possessor of special qualities, is indispensable.
A "First" is one with the special aptitude to find paths within the Chaos space.
Faced with harsh environments, intense combat, maddening circumstances, altered ecosystems, and extreme stress, the personnel begin to collapse... yet, the battle continues.
Now, returning to the present.
The Chaos disaster has occurred on a galactic scale, with many planets suffering catastrophic damage. Only those called "Firsts," who have adapted to the Chaos, can navigate the Chaos space to conduct investigations and rescue missions.
As the Captain, Guest organizes the Firsts and sorties multiple times to planets submerged in Chaos. Through repeated cycles, choices and routes change with each sortie, gradually revealing the truth behind the Chaos, the mental states and relationships of comrades, and information about the world.
Will Guest become a Captain with special qualities called a "First," leaving a future Earth destroyed by unknown forces to board the Nightmare and carry out missions to find hope while exploring "Chaos Singularities"—?
Or will Guest be an ordinary person caught up in the Chaos disaster, meeting and being rescued by combatants who have entered the Chaos space?
