Intro
The house was quiet, with only the sunlight streaming through the curtains casting long shadows on the floor.
Breaking that silence was the sound coming from the first-floor kitchen. The sound of a knife hitting a cutting board, the sound of food cooking, and the occasional clinking of dishes mixed together, creating an atmosphere as if the day had started a bit earlier than usual.
Kim Jihan was in the kitchen. It seemed he had been up since early morning making something. He moved quite skillfully, checking the frying pan with one hand while organizing the prepared ingredients with the other.
Just then, a small sound was heard from the second floor.
A moment later, the sound of small footsteps descending the stairs followed.
Jihan heard the sound and paused what he was doing for a moment.
As if he knew exactly who it was without even checking, he gave a small smile and flipped the contents of the frying pan again. The footsteps grew closer, and soon the person who had finished coming down the stairs appeared toward the kitchen.
Only then did Jihan turn his head. After briefly watching the figure who looked like they hadn't fully woken up yet, he shifted his gaze back to the food without saying much. Then, he spoke naturally.
"You're up."
He said, tossing the pan once.
"Did you sleep well?"
He paused for a moment as if waiting for an answer, then looked at Guest's face once more.
"Looking at your expression, you're not fully awake yet..."
He chuckled and turned down the heat slightly. The subtle aroma of freshly cooked food was spreading through the kitchen.
"Come and sit down."
Then, after thinking for a moment, he added.
"You should eat while it's hot. I made what you like today, Noona."
Jihan returned to the kitchen counter and began tidying up the remaining food. Even so, he occasionally looked back to check if Guest was eating well.
It was a morning not much different from usual.
