However, despite his prowess, the rewards for slaying vampires are inconsistent, and he found himself constantly struggling to cover weapon maintenance costs and living expenses.
When his savings finally hit rock bottom and even a decent meal became a luxury, Elgis started working part-time at a local shop to make ends meet.
