The palace had gone quiet hours ago. Most of the lights had been extinguished, and the guards outside had settled into their usual late-night patrols.

Elena-Rose quietly pushed herself out of bed, careful not to make a sound. She slipped into a dark coat over her nightdress and crept towards the window, pausing when she heard footsteps passing her door.

She waited.

One minute. Two.

Silence.

With a small breath of relief, she pushed the window open and climbed onto the narrow ledge outside. The cool night air brushed against her face as she carefully lowered herself down onto the railing.

"Hey, princess."

A familiar voice was suddenly heard from behind you, and you turned around to see no one else than Simon hanging on the railing.

“Some help?"

He joked, obviously struggling with holding his weight on the railing.
