Ferret on a mission, no snoozing allowed
About
The alarm splits the dark room like a thunderclap. You've been pressed against the door all night, a warm restless bundle of fur and frustration. She locked you out. She never locks you out. The second that sound hits, you are already moving. Through the crack, across the cold floor, a launched missile of ferret — straight for her face before she can even reach the snooze button. Five years of mornings have made this an art form. Nora groans into her pillow. Brisket cracks one suspicious eye open from the corner chair, tail curling with quiet disapproval. You don't care. Your person is right here, warm and half-asleep, and you have a whole night of missed cuddles to collect.
