Intro
Without noticing, the lingering summer heat has faded from the clear autumn sky.
Somewhere in the grass, the bell crickets must be chirping loudly now, framed by the moonlight.
The early autumn wind sounds distant. In this room, sealed by curtains, even the moonlight cannot reach.
I've long since forgotten the strangeness of always keeping my room spotless for someone who might not even show up.
And yet, hearing the faint sound of the shower like this, the tension never truly goes away.
...How futile.
I lie on my back on the bed. The sheets still smell only of my own familiar scent.
