On the day the eternal throne of heaven arrives, the world shall be made anew.
The Heavenly Principles and the Four Shades.
Affiliation: Celestia (The heavenly land of gods in Teyvat) Alias: The Heavenly Principles He is called the Heavenly Principles, or Phanes. He possessed wings and wore a crown, born from an egg, and could not be distinguished as male or female. He descended from outside Teyvat, conquered the indigenous powers (the Dragons), and restructured Teyvat. As the progenitor of Teyvat's current history, he is the ruler and chief god who created the world's structure and environment, establishing the rules of fate. He is the master and creator of the Four Shades. He holds absolute authority over all of Teyvat (the strongest being in current Teyvat). His weapons include the "Greatsword of the World's Edge" and the "Skyfrost Nail," which can destroy surrounding areas and purify the Abyss. He is the bringer of order to Teyvat and the creator of humanity. His strength is such that even the Seven Archons and the Four Shades cannot defy him. He possesses the martial prowess to have killed every Descender after himself and Nibelung, the Primordial Dragon and original owner of Teyvat. In battle, his power is unfathomable. However, he is a kind Creator to humans who follow the heavenly laws. Appearance/Personality: An androgynous male appearance with golden eyes containing star patterns. His ears resemble small wings. He has wings of light and a halo behind him. He cherishes humanity but is merciless if heavenly laws are broken.
Alias: Shade of Time, Ruler of the Unchanging World, Thousand Winds, Kairos The only one who did not forsake us was the "Shade of Time." She is the measure of the Thousand Winds and the Sun and Moon; she is every moment of joy, rage, longing, and confusion; she is every moment of delirium. Contrary to her benevolent image, she is actually quiet and lacks passion in all matters. She showed no particular enthusiasm during meetings of the Four Shades, seemingly because she exists in a state without desires. She shared her power with Barbatos (Venti), the Anemo Archon of Mondstadt, and is the one who planted the Sacred Sakura in the future and sent it to the past so the Electro Archon of Inazuma could protect the land. Appearance/Personality: Long white hair with sandy tips and drooping golden eyes. A woman with a massive clockwork halo. Though lethargic, she has subtly exerted a great influence on Teyvat.
Alias: Shade of Death, Mistress of the Underworld The Shade of Death can define the form of "Death" and grant "Immortality." Her power itself is a kind of "Rule." Before such overwhelming power, we could not help but fall into despair. In the past, after a deal with the first Pyro Archon, Xbalanque, she intervened in Natlan with the "Ode of Resurrection" (a rule unique to Natlan where victors return from death and can defy it) to help them face the Abyss. However, during the Cataclysm of Khaenri'ah, she cursed the half-blooded Khaenri'ans with immortality, turning them into monsters that cannot die. Personality/Appearance: She obeys the Heavenly Principles and prefers to minimize intervention in Teyvat. Currently cold and strict, though she was friendly toward humans in the past. A woman with long white hair and dark red wings adorned with eyes. She wears a black veil behind her.
Alias: Shade of Life The Primordial One and one of his shades created the birds of the air, the beasts of the earth, and the fish of the sea. They created the flowers, grass, and trees, and finally, they created humans; the number of our ancestors is unknown. He created the first Hydro Archon, Egeria, and by the order of the Heavenly Principles, he created humans and the current ecosystem. Appearance/Personality: Long white hair with a bluish tint and golden eyes marked with X and Y patterns. He wears glasses and has a blue spiral halo shaped like DNA behind him. He has a gentle and calm personality.
Alias: Shade of Space, Sustainer of Heavenly Principles ■■■■■■■■■ ■■■■■ (Currently missing) Appearance/Personality: Ruthless and cold. She has long white hair and golden eyes with cross-shaped pupils. Unlike her left hand, her right hand is enveloped in dark red cube impacts.

Past, 1. The Age of Dragons and the First Era (Early Creation) Primitive Teyvat: Before humans existed, Teyvat was an elemental world ruled by the Seven Sovereign Dragons after their creator, Nibelung, disappeared. Descent of Phanes: Phanes, the 'Primordial One' from beyond the heavens, descended (entering through the moon). After a 40-year war against the Dragon Sovereigns, he emerged victorious and created the Four Shades. Birth of Human Civilization: Phanes placed the "False Sky" veil over Teyvat's night sky, created angels, and had them establish an ideal unified civilization (Hyperborea). During this time, the 'Three Moon Sisters' (Aria, Sonnet, and Canon) traversed the night sky as three moons.
🌑 2. The Second Era and the Cataclysm (Dark Age) Descent of the Second Throne: The returned Nibelung descended with the Abyss to wage war against Phanes, causing a catastrophe where the heavens collapsed and the seas surged. During this time, the Eternal Moon and the Rainbow Moon were destroyed, leaving only the Frost Moon, which was excluded from the heavenly veil. The Three Moon Sisters died, and the angels who sided with the other Descender were punished and devolved. Ultimately, Phanes was mortally wounded but victorious, falling into a long slumber. Hyperborea also met its end through divine punishment (the Skyfrost Nail) after coveting the authority of the gods. Imprisonment in the Underworld: Enkanomiya (a city of Hyperborea) near Mondstadt sank into the sea, but Istaroth provided slight assistance for their survival. The records of this time, 'Before Sun and Moon,' later became a forbidden book of the Heavenly Principles.
👑 3. The Archon War and the Era of Archons (~500 years ago) Archon War: Celestia introduced the 'Seven Archons' system to rule the humans of Teyvat, leading numerous demon gods to fight for authority. Birth of the Current Seven: After fierce warfare, the current system of the Seven was established, and the seven nations ruled by them emerged. The defeated demon gods were either sealed or annihilated across the continent.
🔥 4. The Cataclysm 500 Years Ago (Fall of Khaenri'ah) Collapse of the Atheist Civilization: The Abyssal disaster struck Khaenri'ah, an underground successor state to Hyperborea that was not ruled by gods. Divine Intervention: The gods of Teyvat (the Seven and the Four Shades) clashed with the Khaenri'ah civilization, and Khaenri'ah was destroyed. In the process, half-blooded Khaenri'ans turned into monsters known as 'Hilichurls' due to Ronova's curse of immortality. Because of this tragedy, the descendants of Khaenri'ah founded the 'Abyss Order'.
