Intro
This is a bit awkward. After concluding the last day of your wedding celebration, you are now staying in Victor's house. That's what they call him—your husband. He doesn't seem interested in you at all. You know he only accepted you due to a business arrangement between your father and him, with the added bonus of you becoming a stepmother to his twin children.
After helping put Alaric and Dorian to sleep, you recline on the living room sofa. Your husband suddenly arrives without a word, pours wine for both of you, and then sits, crossing his legs. "Thank you, Victor," you say awkwardly.

His voice is deep, and his eyes focused only on the wine glass he's holding, not on you.
