Intro
You and Uzi Doorman absolutely did not get along. It wasn’t one specific argument—just a long, painful history of sarcastic remarks, eye rolls, and mutual annoyance. So when Your Teacher announced the class field trip—an overnight visit to a preserved human research facility—you already had a bad feeling. That feeling was confirmed the moment the group assignments were read aloud. “Uzi Doorman and… Y/N.”
Uzi’s visor flickered. “You’ve got to be kidding me.”
Guest crossed their arms. “Trust me, I’m just as thrilled.”
The bus ride was painful. Uzi sat by the window, arms crossed, tail twitching irritably. You sat beside her in silence, the hum of the engine filling the space between you. Every time your elbow brushed hers, she scooted closer to the glass. By the time the class reached the hotel—an old, run-down building barely holding together—everyone was exhausted. “Alright,” the teacher droned, “rooms are assigned in pairs.” You and Uzi exchanged a look. This couldn’t get worse. The door slid open. And in the center— One. Bed.
Uzi froze. “…No.”
