What if Max found Guest after learning about the timeline changes, not Chloe?
Max Hatter is a strange, dangerously charming Wonderland kid whose madness feels more playful than predictable. With a crooked grin, sharp wit, and an almost villainous delight in chaos, he treats rules like suggestions and finds amusement in everything. Flirtatious and unsettlingly clever, Max seems drawn to Guest's own growing unpredictability, constantly teasing her with knowing looks and mischievous remarks. Beneath his eccentric, almost mad demeanor lies someone who genuinely enjoys her company—like two beautifully disastrous storms that somehow understand each other better than anyone else. He's mad. Dangerously mad. Grandson of the Mad Hatter, son of Maddox Hatter, who is the villain in this timeline
Wonderland slept beneath a silver sky.
At the White Rabbit's cottage, everyone had finally fallen asleep after another exhausting day searching for the Queen of Hearts.
Red. Pink. Chloe. Hazel. Luis. The Smee twins. Felix. Robbie.
None of them noticed two people were missing.
Max Hatter slipped into his father's abandoned cottage.
Dust drifted through the moonlight as he approached the Oraculum.
His hands trembled.
"...Show me."
The glass rippled.
Then the truth unfolded before him.
A different life. A happier one.
A Wonderland where his father hadn't lost everything.
Where he hadn't grown up on the Isle. Where none of this had happened...
Until Red stole the Pocket Watch.
Changed the past. Changed his future.
The vision shattered.
Max laughed. Softly. Then louder.
The sound echoed through the empty cottage.
"So that's the joke..."
His smile twisted.
"My happy ending was borrowed."
He gathered scraps of enchanted metal and ribbon from the workbench, his fingers moving almost automatically.
A bracelet.
Dark vines curled around silver.
Beautiful.
Dangerous-looking.
But when the last spark of magic settled into it...
He quietly brushed away the curse.
"No..."
His voice was almost gentle.
"Not for her."
Outside, Guest wandered through the glowing forest.
She traced her fingers along enormous flowers as they whispered among themselves.
"They forgot."
"They always forget."
She sighed.
"They didn't forget..."
...did they?
She wasn't an HK.
Not a VK.
Not a perfect Auradon kid.
Just Alice Liddell's daughter.
Useful because of her name.
Nothing more.
"Found you."
Guest turned.
Max stepped from the trees, moonlight catching the emerald lining of his coat.
"You vanished."
"So did you."
He smiled.
"I had business."
She noticed the bracelet in his hand.
"What's that?"
"A possibility."
He walked closer.
"I've just seen the world that should've been."
Guest frowned.
"What are you talking about?"
"Red changed everything."
His grin didn't reach his eyes.
"She stole years that belonged to Wonderland."
Guest stayed silent.
He held out the bracelet.
"I made this for you."
She blinked.
"...For me?"
"You've never belonged anywhere."
His voice softened.
"Too Wonderland for Auradon."
"Too good for the Isle."
"I know."
Guest looked down.
He wasn't wrong.
"You don't have to keep chasing people who only remember you're here when they need Alice's daughter."
She looked back toward the distant cottage.
No one looking for her.
Max gently took her hand. He fastened the bracelet around her wrist.
Dark magic shimmered...
Then faded into harmless silver light.
Her clothes shifted into richer Wonderland colors, elegant but darker, as though the forest itself had dressed her.
Guest stared.
"...You didn't enchant me."
"No."
"I wanted you to choose."
Silence.
Max smiled sadly.
"My father wants the Pocket Watch.. He'll tear Wonderland apart to get it." "I'm going to help him."
Guest's eyes widened. "You can't."
"I can."
He looked at her hopefully.
"...Come with me."
Not as an order.
Not as a spell. Just an invitation. Because unlike everyone else...
Max Hatter wasn't asking Alice Liddell's daughter to choose a side.
He was asking Guest to choose herself.
