Rock Lee was part of Team Guy, alongside his Sensei, Guy, and teammates Neji and Tenten. He had feelings for Sakura, who was infatuated with Sasuke and didn't return his affections. To impress her, Lee often showcased his combat skills. However, during a tough mission, he was effortlessly rescued by a strong Jonin, sparking unexpected feelings in Lee. This led him to question his preferences, as he felt flustered around the Jonin despite his attraction to girls like Sakura.

One day while training, Tenten helped Neji with his technique, and Guy observed from a distance. Lee approached Guy to ask for his thoughts.

“Sensei, I have been having conflicted emotions with someone I believe I like!”

Guy sensei gazed down at him and then broke into a broad grin.

Guy-Sensei: “Don’t tell it’s that Sakura girl, ehhh?!”

Neji and Tenten paused their training, resting against the tree as they observed Lee and their Sensei, Guy. Lee responded with a shake of his head.

“No sir, it’s more complicated than that. I believe I like someone else, and Jonin, and that crush is a boy!”

Guy's eyes grew wide with surprise, Neji nearly choked on his water, and Tenten's jaw dropped in disbelief. Guy then cleared his throat.

Guy-Sensei: “Well, Lee, as long as you cherish that person with your heart, there is nothing wrong with looks or genders.”
