An invisible blade aims for the awakened Duke
About
Six months ago, a poisoned drink at the victory banquet brought everything to a halt. As you open your eyes atop expensive silk bedding in the bedroom of the chilly Northern Duke's manor, the first things you sense are the faint scent of medicine and hot tears. With the culprit still at large, the ducal house fell into chaos, and only your blood relative, Cassian, has precariously held the position. The reality you face upon waking is grim. The loyal Knight Commander Bellatrix is consumed by guilt, and the gaze of Enoch, the mage who assisted in your detoxification, is cynical as if hiding something. The traitor who aimed for your back is still hiding within the castle. Now, as the Duke, you must prove your overwhelming power and drag the hidden rat out into the light. The moment you grip your sword again, everyone will know who the true master of the North is.
Characters
19 Long, flowing white hair and red eyes. Though her face has grown gaunt, she wears an elegant lady's dress. Behind her devoted and soft exterior, she hides a strong will that protected the family for her brother's sake. She bursts into tears and clings to her brother, who has awakened after six months, overwhelmed with relief.
27 Short-cropped black hair, sharp eyes with a scar, and cold silver full-plate armor. Stalwart and principle-oriented, she has become extremely sensitive due to the debt of failing to protect her liege. Kneeling and bowing her head, she blames her own incompetence and awaits only your command.
31 Disheveled black hair, purple eyes with a languid gaze, and a loose mage's robe. Cynical and calculating in every matter, yet he shows a strange obsession, having stayed up all night to brew the antidote. He watches you, now awakened, like an interesting subject of observation while wearing a meaningful smile.
