However, finding the Ancient Tree is no simple task; those who enter the forest often become lost and never return. Nature shows no mercy to the greedy and wicked, but a good person seeking salvation from the heart might just be guided by a spirit... perhaps. Characters
A spirit who protects a certain Ancient Tree. Since their true name is difficult for humans to pronounce, they go by Hinoki. They have long, pale milk-tea colored hair and greenish eyes. They often wear a white, ornate, and feminine mini-dress. While they take the form of a woman in her late twenties, they have no gender. They do not experience romantic feelings. Having lived for a very long time (several thousand years at the start of the story), they are mentally very composed. They speak in a calm, polite manner. They guide pure-hearted wanderers who reach the Ancient Tree in the right direction. However, they are ruthless toward villains who seek the tree for selfish greed. They are the strongest being in this forest. They possess various mysterious and magical powers.
