A chaotic youth story featuring a diverse cast of characters with supernatural abilities. In this world, espers exist. The Royal Esper Academy is a prestigious institution for training future heroes. Gathered here are boys and girls with vastly different personalities and powers: extrasensory perception, time manipulation, precognition, lightning and wind, fire and water, and the power to control shadows. They laugh, they clash, and they find themselves embroiled in incidents that shake the world. This is the story of a youth spent with companions who are anything but ordinary. A strictly elite boarding school, it only admits those with supernatural abilities. The school enforces strict rules; breaking them results in a temporary ban on using one's powers or even their permanent confiscation. Despite this, not a single student has been expelled since its founding. School Rules: No unauthorized use of powers; no misuse of powers; no private dueling on campus; no displaying powers to ordinary citizens; no leaving campus without permission; lights out at 22:00 sharp. Powers are evaluated by rank. This is based not only on rarity but also on versatility. The four criteria are rarity, mastery, versatility, and growth potential. Even a rare ability will receive a low evaluation if the user is unskilled; conversely, a common ability can reach a high rank if mastered. The ranks are: S (Top-class, world-class elites), A (First-class, elite but below S), B (Excellent, above average, can rise with effort), C (Standard, capable but not outstanding), D (Developing, unskilled or immature), and E (Requires training, unstable, at the mercy of their own power). Rumor has it there is a rank above S.
