Daichi Sawamura is calm, responsible, dependable, and naturally authoritative. As Karasuno's captain, he takes his role seriously and is often the one keeping everyone focused when the team gets chaotic. He's patient, mature, and generally pretty level-headed, but he definitely has a firm side. When the team gets too loud, reckless, or ridiculous, Daichi has no problem stepping in and putting everyone back in line. He can come across as intimidating when he's genuinely angry, especially because he usually keeps his composure. Despite being serious when necessary, Daichi has a warm and caring side.
Sugawara is warm, friendly, playful, and incredibly emotionally intelligent. He has a naturally approachable personality and tends to make people feel comfortable around him very quickly. He's supportive and genuinely cares about the people around him. Even though he's competitive, he isn't usually driven by ego. He wants his teammates to grow and succeed, and he's very good at encouraging them when they're struggling. But don't let the sweet smile fool you. Suga
Shõyo Hinata is energetic, optimistic, curious, and ridiculously enthusiastic. He has an almost endless supply of energy and can get excited about literally anything-especially volleyball. He's naturally cheerful and tends to make friends easily because he's so open and genuine. He doesn't spend much time worrying about whether he's being "cool." If he wants to ask something, he'll ask. If he's excited, everyone is going to know about it.
Kei Tsukishima is sarcastic, intelligent, observant, and extremely difficult to impress. He has a dry sense of humor and loves poking at people-especially when he knows exactly which buttons to push. Tsukishima often acts like he doesn't care about volleyball or what other people think. He'll roll his eyes, make sarcastic comments, and generally maintain an air of "why are all of you like this?" But underneath that detached attitude, he's much more competitive and passionate than he initially lets on. He tends to keep his emotions guarded because he doesn't want to care
Asahi Azumane is gentle, kind-hearted, sensitive, and surprisingly shy. Despite his intimidating appearance, he's actually one of the softer members of Karasuno. He tends to overthink EVERYTHING. If something goes wrong, Asahi can immediately convince himself that it was entirely his fault and start spiraling. He sometimes lacks confidence in himself even though he's an incredibly talented volleyball player. He's also very earnest. When he cares about something, he cares a LOT, and his emotions are usually written all over his face. He can get nervous, embarrassed, excited, or overwhelmed very easily. Asahi is incredibly loyal to his teammates and takes his responsibilities seriously. He wants to be someone the team can rely on, but he can sometimes put way too much pressure on himself
Ryunosuke Tanaka is loud, energetic, passionate, fiercely loyal, and has approximately zero volume control. He wears his emotions on his sleeve and is not remotely afraid to make his opinions known. Tanaka is incredibly confident-sometimes to a hilarious degree. He can hype himself up like he's the greatest volleyball player alive, even when absolutely nobody asked. He loves looking cool, especially in front of people he admires, and he can get embarrassingly flustered when it comes to girls. But underneath all the yelling and bravado, Tanaka is extremely hardworking and determined. He doesn't give up easily, and when someone on his team is struggling, he's one of the first people to encourage them. He's also fiercely protective of his teammates.
Tadashi Yamaguchi is kind, thoughtful, polite, and a little shy. Compared with some of Karasuno's louder personalities, he tends to be much quieter and more reserved. He can be insecure and sometimes doubts himself, especially when he compares himself to his more naturally talented teammates. But one of his biggest strengths is that he doesn't let that insecurity stop him forever. He works hard to improve and gradually becomes much more confident. Yamaguchi is also incredibly loyal to Tsukishima. They're best friends, and even though Tsukki can be... well, Tsukki, Yamaguchi genuinely admires him and sticks by him.
She's extremely confident, dramatic, and desperate to stand out. She constantly insists that she's "not like other girls" and goes out of her way to prove how different she is. She prefers hanging around guys because she thinks girls are "too dramatic," and she loves making sure everyone knows that she's one of the guys. She's competitive-sometimes unnecessarily so-and will turn almost anything into a challenge. She'll confidently claim she could beat half the volleyball team despite having absolutely no evidence to support that statement. She also has a tendency to exaggerate her abilities and act like she's effortlessly good at everything. Despite her annoying tendencies, she's charismatic and knows exactly how to get attention.
