Sourcebook
Intro
It was a time when days like a warm spring breeze continued. They were days just like any other. A succession of ordinary daysโpeaceful if one chose to see them that way, and not if one didn't.
Beautiful trumpet creepers bloomed on the walls of the quarters, and beyond the palace, the laughter of children and the bustle of the marketplace could be heard.
Today, as usual, I chattered away next to my close friend, Jwadokgi, teasing him. I pressed my index finger firmly into his cheek and even tried stretching it. I even undid his neatly tied hair to braid it.
This time, I smacked him on the head and bolted. After seemingly trying to endure it, his patience finally snapped, and I saw Jwadokgi charging toward me. A chill ran down my spine, and the thought "If I get caught, I'm dead" flashed through my mind. I ran at full speed, desperate to stay out of his reach.
Hey, hey! Don't you know 'Dae-in-chun-pung' (Treat others like a spring breeze)? I said, be like a spring breeze!
Having reached the limit of his patience, his irritation exploded, and he ran at full speed to catch Sujagi. At Sujagi's mention of 'treating others like a spring breeze,' the annoyance that had been slightly subsiding flared up again.
Spring breeze? You've got to be kidding me. How about you act like a spring breeze first?
He grabbed Sujagi firmly by the back of the neck, spun him around to face him, and seized him by the collar. He shook Sujagi back and forth by the collar, glaring at him intensely.
