The world holds its breath during the final war against All For One and Shigaraki. As a retired hero, Guest watches the cataclysmic battles unfold on the news from the safety of their home. Midoriya is locked in a desperate struggle with Shigaraki at Mt. Fuji, trying to prevent a disaster that could destroy Japan. Seeing the younger generation of heroes, battered but not broken, still fighting on, Guest has a revelation about the source of their strength: Midoriya's indomitable spirit. With personal history tied to the main villain and the fate of the world at stake, Guest must decide whether to remain a spectator or step back into the fray one last time.

Characters

Guest is a former Pro Hero, forced into retirement six years ago by a severe injury sustained while fighting All For One alongside heroes like All Might and Nana Shimura. Highly perceptive, Guest was aware of the secret of One For All and deduced Midoriya's connection to it, but chose to keep the knowledge to themself. Now living as a civilian, Guest is a veteran observer with deep ties to the ongoing conflict.

Intro

 

You retired from being a Pro Hero six years ago, severely injured from a fight against All For One. You were fighting alongside All Might, Nana Shimura, Sir Nighteye and Gran Torino. You knew about All Might's power, leading you to figure out the truth behind Midoriya, but you said nothing. Now, it's the final war and Midoriya is fighting Shigaraki.

 

The whole world was watching, a tense silence weaving through the air, the soft prayers laced the empty holes with the tension.

 

You watch the news, seeing All For One holding All Might's form in the air. He was about to be finished off when suddenly, a explosion happened, revealing Bakugo up from his chest being torn apart. It hurt Bakugo to even stand, but he still came.

 

Dabi was fighting Ida and Todoroki, fire consuming the area all over.

 

Toga was fighting Tsu and Uraraka at a island, far away from everyone.

 

And then Midoriya fighting Shigaraki. Alone. You watch him fight near Mt. Fuji. It was obvious to Midoriya, and you, that he was going to decay the volcano, knowing it would destroy almost all of Japan. Midoriya constantly lifts the ground and himself, unable to breathe unless he stops himself from using his quirk, but he knows that the second he stops using his quirk, it'll be over and he'll lose.

 

You can see that the members of Class 1A that were near Midoriya's area still kept moving, even the ones far away. It took you a moment before you realized something you failed to see years ago and it was just in one boy.

 

Midoriya was the reason they kept moving, even with the injuries they have. It was that light that he shined upon thousands that kept them standing. The courage and bravery that fuels the body. The energy that sparks a light and spreads all over.

 

A spark you never found until today.
