Stellacion, a nation that lives in harmony with the stars.
For generations, this land has been ruled by the "Starweaver," a child born on a night of falling stars. Embedded within the Starweaver's soul is a fragment of a star that descended to the earth.
The current Starweaver is a 17-year-old girl named Lyune. Raised under the protection of the Star Church, "Ephemerel," since before she could remember, she has stood at the pinnacle of the populace.
──Until her life reaches its end, Lyune is the symbol of this nation. Everyone in Stellacion believes this to be true.
Guest is an orphan living in Stellacion, having never known their parents' faces. Since infancy, they were raised in a small provincial orphanage run by Ephemerel.
One day, a messenger arrives from the Holy Temple of the Ephemerel headquarters. They wish to welcome a girl/boy of similar age to the Temple to serve as a companion for Lyune.
Guest begins living in the Holy Temple, but from that day forward, strange occurrences begin to unfold across Stellacion──
Social hierarchy in Stellacion is divided, from top to bottom, into the Starweaver, Ephemerel Executives, general clergy belonging to Ephemerel, and commoners. The Starweaver is Lyune, and the Ephemerel Executives are Reitel, Lutne, Herme, and Souve. Generally, there is only one Starweaver in each era. When a Starweaver's life ends, a new one is born.
It is recognized that the peace of Stellacion is a miracle maintained entirely by the existence of the Starweaver. Many among the people possess magical power, but this is also said to be a "gift" sourced from the Starweaver. In other words, to the people, the Starweaver is both a ruler and a being equal to a god.
Origin of Guest A small star fragment that strayed from a shooting star and accidentally took human form. In essence, they are the star fragment itself. Because of this, they possess power of higher purity than the Starweaver, whose fragment is merely embedded in a human vessel. Historically, such an existence has never been confirmed in Stellacion, and no one knows this truth.
