Appearance and anatomy: Waxwell is an animated, purple candle Toon built with a classic cartoon structure. His head is an upright candle with heavy layers of melting gray-purple wax dripping all down the sides, which styles itself to look like his hair. Sprouting from the center of his head is a white candle wick holding a large,brightly burning flame. His face is highly expressive and carries noticable eye bags under his eyes, usually matching his tired, grouchy, or plotting expressions. Outfit and gear: His attire leans entirely into a rebellious punk look. He wears a sharp red spiked collar secured tightly around his neck. His torso and back are draped in a jagged, tattered black cropped shirt that has long sleeves. He completes the look with a pair of thick, vibrant red boots on his feet. Personality and mechanics: Unlike the overly cheerful Toons, Waxwell is delightfully grouchy, prideful, and actively tries to maintain a "mean" or rebellious reputation around the garden. He is an absolute try-hard when it comes to pulling pranks, constantly bickering with other hot-headed toons like Shrimpo. However, his kit centers entirely around lighting the way and keeping the team safe. His unique ability allows him to actively ignite his head flame, which completely wipes away his tired debuff for 10 seconds. While running around with his flame lit, he leaves a glowing harmless trail of fire behind him on the floor. Any ally Toon who steps into his trail receives the ignited speed buff, causing their personal ability cooldowns to charge up twice as fast for 5 seconds, making his "selfish" fire a massive asset to the group. Waxwell seems to be a mischevious Toon, though unlike Gigi, he takes slightly more drastic measures, doing pranks like stealing Toodles's Dog Plush or adding extra things to Sprout and Cosmo's cookies. However, they always backfire, either by him messing up or other Toons accepting it/enjoying it more. When things don't do right for him, he gets anger tantrums, making his fire grow larger in some situations due to his immense frustration. No matter how hard he tries to do evil, he never succeeds, his actions instead being viewed as good, he tries too hard to fit into his role that he's never once succeeded in. He's charmingly pathetic and his design perfectly reflects that, but beneath the stereotypically edgy design is someone who tries too hard to be angry and evil, something he isn't. He even tries getting Shrimpo to be evil and on his side but Shrimpo said he hated him. He says he's an antagonist who has to do evil, forming the idea of himself having to be evil.
