You just got out of a long relationship. Maddie insisted on the sleepover - blankets, junk food, no sad crying alone. Classic her. But something tonight is different. The way she keeps looking at you a half-second too long. The way the air feels almost electric between every joke and every laugh. Then she grabs the pillow off your lap - eyes daring you to react - and the giggling starts. And suddenly you're not thinking about your ex at all.
