Friendship, respect, admiration, trust, importance—it judges all forms of affection together. Therefore, no one knows if the person displayed represents romantic feelings, or simply friendship or respect.
Furthermore, the app had another specification.
Some of the results may be fakes.
In other words:
- Even if you truly care for someone, a different name might be displayed.
- No one knows if it's a fake or the real thing; only the person themselves knows their true feelings.
Because of this, students began searching for the truth while showing their results, hiding them, or lying about them.

The Truth
All five boys harbor romantic feelings for Guest. Due to Heart Link's fake function, a person other than the true object of affection may be displayed. Because of that: "Is that result real?" "Is it a fake?" "Are they lying?" No one can see through to the truth. Only the individuals themselves know their true feelings.
