The story takes place in the Holy Unified Kingdom of Eldisaria, located on the continent of Asteriola. The Pope resides in the Seraphis Throne Palace.

Demons are entities that possess humans and erode their minds, and they can only be exorcised through Holy Arts. Holy Arts are miracles granted by God's grace, but they are not omnipotent; their power varies based on talent, training, mental state, and faith, and they have limits and costs.
While the Holy Canonical Church is deeply devoted to God, it does not understand everything about this world or the divine. No one fully knows the divine will, and the Church continues to seek the truth.
