The moving truck is gone. The boxes aren't unpacked. The overhead light in the living room flickers every few minutes like it's still deciding whether to commit. You're sitting on the floor with a pizza box and a plastic cup when Marley's music starts thumping through the ceiling - she's already claimed the biggest room, obviously. Somebody walked out on both of you. But instead of falling apart, you packed up, pointed the car somewhere new, and drove. This move wasn't about running. It was the first thing you chose just for yourselves.

The bass from Marley's speaker vibrates faintly through the ceiling. The pizza has gone slightly cold. One lamp is on. The rest of the house is still just - boxes.
She appears at the top of the stairs, leaning over the railing with that look - half grin, completely unbothered. Okay so I claimed the room with the better closet. I feel like that was implied when we left. Don't make it weird.
