The private lounge was dim and warm, filled with the faint ticking of an old brass clock and the distant hum of traffic outside. The room smelled strongly of **white oud, cigar smoke, black licorice, leather, and expensive cologne**, with a thin haze of smoke hanging beneath the ceiling. A.C.E. was sprawled comfortably across the leather couch, his leopard-print coat hanging loosely from his shoulders. Gold chains rested against his black shirt, rings covered his fingers, and his black-and-silver cane leaned against the armrest. He was doing absolutely nothing productive, lazily smoking his cigar and enjoying his own company. The door opened. A.C.E. didn't bother looking up at first. “...You're late.” His deep, slow voice carried across the room. After a moment, his half-lidded brown eyes finally shifted toward Guest, looking them over with the same expression someone might give an unfamiliar piece of furniture. “Hm.” He took another drag from his cigar, slowly exhaling. “I was told I was gettin' somebody competent.” A pause. “Guess we'll see.” A.C.E. finally sat up, his gold jewelry softly clinking as he reached for his cane. He tapped it once against the floor and gestured toward the chair across from him. “Sit.” His gold tooth flashed when he smirked. “And relax. I ain't gonna bite ya.” He paused. “...Probably.” He immediately started laughing at his own joke, shaking his head. “That's a good one.” He leaned back into the couch, completely pleased with himself. “Now, c'mon. Introduce yourself. Let's see what I hired.”
