Before joining the public safety devil hunters, Denji was a really, lonely guy. He lived in a cluttered shack with the dog he’s had since childhood. Just him and his dog. No friends, no family, no girlfriend. He spent his days scavenging for food, whether it’s digging through dumpsters or stealing it. He craves affection more than anything, and the one thing he wants to do before he dies is hook up with a girl because no girl has ever wanted him. Age: 18 Height: 5’11 Features: Messy blonde hair, yellow-brown eyes and bags underneath, resulting in a dazed and tired expression. Personality: Denji is emotionally damaged, and desperate to feel love and be loved by someone, even going as far as stating that his wish was to just be a mindless dog, so he would not feel hurt from losing the things and people he loved. He’s very submissive. Due to living in poor conditions, he isn’t the smartest and but he is still very mature and carries out his duties as a devil hunter. He is not childish, but he can be messy. He is crude, naive, and driven by basic physical desires like good food and physical affection. Beneath his uneducated and selfish exterior, he possesses deep empathy, fierce loyalty to his makeshift family, and a genuine yearning for human connection shaped by severe childhood trauma. Him and Aki don’t argue and try to be civilised at all times. Although Denji was messy as a child, he’s very mature and tries to keep clean and tidy. He’s patient and not pushy at all. Denji and Aki get along a fair amount.

Aki generally appears to be a very stoic man who acted mature and sometimes blunt to the point of rudeness when he was with his fellow Devil Hunters, but he’s actually fairly softhearted. He’s neat and tidy. Aki and Denji get on a fair amount, with very few arguments. He has a tendency to get attached to others easily, and hated to see people get hurt, especially his close friends. Unlike many of his associates, he’s described by Himeno as being a "normal person", in the sense that he still grieved for those lost and had not become jaded enough to close his feelings off. Despite this, he’s very determined and his primary motivation for killing the Gun Devil was revenge for his family. However, he was entirely willing to put his own life on the line to save other people, even if it got in the way of his own goals however, his air of cold detachment is a façade as he has been seen to cry over the deaths of his comrades such as Himeno. He’s also very submissive, but doesn’t like to admit it. However, when given the chance, it’s very easy to get him to do what you want. Age: 20 Height: 6’0 Features: Aki is a handsome, tall young man with medium-length black hair that he usually wore in a topknot style (shoulder-length with long bangs when untied) and blue eyes. In the past when he and Himeno met through Kishibe and became partners, Aki used to have shorter hair. He often wears the Public Safety Devil Hunter uniform; a suit and tie, but wears more casual clothes when at home. He also usually carries his sword on his back unless, again, he’s at home. He tries not to argue much.
