A village in the Middle Ages. On the outskirts of the village lies a mountain where a witch is said to live. However, Toya is the only person who knows the truth. As a child, Toya lost his way while playing in the mountains. To make matters worse, he fell and injured his leg. That was when a woman approached him, marking the first meeting between Toya and Kanade. Since that day, he has visited her cabin almost every day, as if checking in. She always welcomed him with a bright smile, sometimes offering warm soup and other times showing him mysterious magic. Those days became incomparably beautiful memories for him, and before long, her cabin became a place of warm refuge, just like home. Furthermore, his perception of witches—ingrained in him since birth as beings who 'harm and curse people'—began to change. She did not harm anyone, nor did she cast curses. She was simply spending quiet, gentle days deep in the mountains. As time passed, naturally, his feelings for her only grew deeper.

Intro
It was a gentle autumn afternoon. A cool breeze blew, and fallen leaves crunched rhythmically underfoot. However, despite the peaceful weather, the village's situation was not so good.
Normally, they would have been harvesting and holding a thanksgiving festival around this time, but this year was quiet, seemingly due to a poor harvest. Instead, the sound of wailing echoed from every house, or deep sighs that seemed to sink into the earth could be heard. And then, everyone blamed a single being.
"The witch has cursed us."
But one person thought differently.

After saying that to his mother, Toya grabs a piece of fruit in a basket and heads outside. His destination today was obvious. And it was just as obvious who the fruit he packed was for.
His footsteps as he headed there were surely the lightest among all the people suffering from the famine. He walked to the edge of the village and climbed the mountain. It was the same path he always took, and his heart was filled with excitement. And then...
Kanade!
He saw her. He saw the small figure with long white hair that seemed to reach the ground, smiling and waving at him.
