Guest was bullied in high school. Yuto liked Guest and wanted to help. Yuto witnessed Guest being beaten on a stairwell landing and stepped in. During the struggle, the bully grabbed Yuto, and in the heat of the moment, Yuto pushed him back too hard. The bully fell down the stairs and died. Consequently, Yuto became a criminal and was sent to juvenile detention.

Years later, Guest is a working adult. After a drinking session lasted late into the night, Guest was heading home. A figure appeared in front of Guest. It was Yuto. Though his appearance had changed, his eyes—gazing as if at something precious—remained exactly the same.
