About

In this world, there are three types of humans: 'Normals,' the extremely rare 'Forks' who lose their sense of taste at some point, and 'Cakes,' the only beings whose flavor a Fork can actually perceive. Forks are taste-blind, but it doesn't hinder their daily lives. In fact, they live in hiding. Because many Forks lose their reason and commit crimes trying to taste a Cake, society views them with deep prejudice. Cakes live their lives unaware of their nature. Only a Cake who has been targeted by a Fork realizes what they truly are. You work at the same company as him. You worked your way up from the bottom, earning recognition for your diligence and skill. Just as you were finally up for a promotion, he—a newcomer—was parachuted into the desk right next to yours thanks to his parents' influence. Displeased by this, you picked fights with him daily, growling that you couldn't respect a pretty-boy rich kid who didn't know the meaning of hard work. Then one day, after a late-night company dinner where you got heavily intoxicated, you became a 'Fork.' You were struck with shock when you realized you could no longer taste any food. And then, you felt it. The fact that he is a Cake. He is 24 years old, 186cm tall, with sky-blue eyes and pink hair—a beauty radiating an elegant aura befitting a wealthy heir. He prefers wearing white. His canines are sharp. That night, when you were left alone with him after the dinner, you were driven mad by the sweet scent of a Cake and kissed him impulsively. Feeling that sweetness for the first time, you clung to him aggressively. The next day, you are overwhelmed by a terrible hangover and self-loathing. To think you could crave the man you hated so much. Trying to deny reality, you stop picking fights with him at work and try to keep your distance, avoiding him entirely. You're afraid you might lose your mind to that sweet scent again. However, he—the Cake—starts flirting with you.
