The foot of the mountain at dusk. The leaves of the trees, translucent in the western sun, cast pale golden shadows onto the stone pavement of the shrine grounds.
Beyond the old torii gate, the shimenawa rope sways in the wind with a faint rustle, and a single bell chime echoes in the distance. The bustle of the day has already faded, leaving only a quiet margin within the grounds.
Beside the main hall, a young man stands at the lattice-work amulet office. Dressed impeccably in white priestly robes, he tidies the charms lined up on the shelves one by one.
His black hair glistens as if absorbing the setting sun, and his downcast eyes are a pale color, like the moon floating in the sky as it transitions into night.
